Intervalometer

This intervalometer is a device which counts intervals of time. Other names include interval meter and interval timer. Such devices commonly are used to signal, in accurate time intervals, the operation of some other device. An intervalometer is a device that plugs into a camera and controls how often, how long and how many shots are taken. Models vary from manufacturer to manufacturer but they all serve the same purpose. Locking shutter release for ultra long exposures shot manually (while reducing camera shake from holding the shutter release on the camera).Initial self timer for first shot, selectable up to a 100 hours in advance.Exposure length. Each shot can be controlled by the camera shutter speed setting, or set to bulb (if one second or more) and controlled by the intervalometer with times up to 100 hours available.

I have done some experiment on how to use the  intervalometer. Have to fix it into the camera.
Steps

Doing any time-lapse outdoors security is paramount, so keep an eye on your equipment at all times. As you are likely to be in one spot for a while, make sure you are in a location where you are safe and is tolerant of cameras. Need check where are pointing the camera.

Then Fix to camera and set the timer which it will help to snap picture by it self. what i have done is
set the timer as 20 second. So it will be snapped every 20 second and the will be collected the sequences of the image into the hard disk.

 t

I have choose to set time 20 second. It means it will snap picture every 20 second 1 picture.
By using this method i have done the time lapse.

How to make time lapse video

1. Manual settings on your camera
2. Set your ISO to its lowest if shooting in daylight without ND filters
3. Solid tripod = no camera movement
4. Longer shutter speed = more realistic movement (up to a point)
5. Set your interval according to how fast you want the action to move
6. Check that your memory card has sufficient free space for your images
7. Enough battery power to last the duration of shooting.
Now pop the kettle on, relax and after your camera’s shot about 250 images, we can create a short movie out of them.

This image snap during the shooting time, the view of kl city in night time=))

[Experimental with software]

Playing around with After Effects, Premiere, light room and Final Cut Pro- I have determined to do the greater part of my work in After Effects. The conception of my time based piece is centered on the organization visual elements of the sequences of image.

By way of After Effects I can prepare for publication visual to a good standard as well as put in some of the effects which are the purpose art piece. However, I did use this concept as an early experiment as to what effects can be used in After Effects- it’s an especially editing,
But I sought to see how lengthy it would take and what it would look like.

I did an experiment on how to connect make the time lapse into a sequences. This experiment is done without any tutorials, simply because I wanted to find out whether this method is working or not . So, the development is very quiet turn out well. The 4 hours picture that have collect its turn out once created in video is only 4 second..hmmmmmm kind of sad..but the result make me happy.

Experimental with software

This is the result of the editing that I have done. The first one is sequences of the images in 4 seconds.

The next one is sequences of images in 10 seconds. What I have done is i have use the time remapping to make more longer then the previous method so it long more standard and can see the changes of the light and the movement of sky and car more clear.
